Fine Artist. Creator.
ABOUT ME
Daniel Jenkins' creative interests began at an early age. From drawing on walls and floors to playing the drums he has always been doing something creative. His artistic impulses evolved from floor doodles, to comic book
drawings, to fine art and murals. His musical impulses evolved from drumming, to DJing, to producing. After graduating from duCret School Of Art Daniel's creative direction began to shift solely toward music. Later after having problems with his vision Daniel would find out he had a brain tumor putting
pressure on his optic nerves that had the potential to permanently blind him. After a successful surgery in 2016 to remove the tumor Daniel took it as a sign to use all the creative gifts that were given to him and continue to create paintings and visual art with a passion and gratitude like never before. Working to make up for what he
believed was lost time Daniel began the task of producing one piece of art a day for an entire year straight. After
beginning this process with traditional pencil drawings Daniel’s style eventually evolved into something more unique. His current style of black and white drawings act as a bridge
between his classical portraiture training and his love for abstraction. Daniel states his goal is to bring polar
opposites together, to fuse figurative work with abstraction to create something entirely new and original.
